Chiropractic
A system of diagnosis and treatment based on the concept that the nervous system coordinates all of the body's functions, and that disease results from a lack of normal nerve function. Chiropractic employs manipulation and adjustment of body structures.
Structure dictates function. Your posture affects every process in your body, including breathing, digestion, elimination and hormonal production. To be truly healthy, you must have normal posture.

Patient Testimonies:
In October of 2008 I suffered a severe lower back strain six days before a half marathon. I could barely walk let alone even think about jogging 13.1 miles in six days. Dr. Sikora was able to treat me by readjusting my spine and providing for me electrical heat therapy. On the Saturday of that week I ran my second fastest half marathon ever. I couldn't believe it. I did not even feel that much pain during the race, and a half marathon involves lots of pounding on the body, and consists of hills which naturally puts stress on the joints. The bottom line is that he delivered, and was able to adjust to my particular situation. I highly recommend his services, as he will help your body heal itself naturally, sufficiently, and in some cases, rather quickly.

1. What was it like before you came in to see us?
Work-related back injury that was causing constant pain and stiffness, lack of mobility, loss of flexibility.
2. How is it now?
Greatly improved. Relief started within a few days. Pain is mild and manageable, some stiffness remaining. Flexibility is almost normal.

To Whom it May Concern:
Having recently moved to Massillon, I have been treating with the Holistic Center for Medicine now for several weeks. Receiving chiropractic treatment for a whiplash injury wherever I have lived or worked, I have learned several years there are different levels of care and knowledge. As in any medical service or treatment program, there are many skills and much knowledge required for a physician to facilitate improvement or healing in a patient. And there are many very good doctors in the field. But there are ways of administering care that rise above the usual academic requirements of intellectual knowledge and trained skills. What comes to mind are things like spending sufficient time with a person rather than rushing on to a string of tightly scheduled patients. Also, explaining what is occurring, instructing self-care for a specific condition, consideration given to preferences during treatment, (i.e., choosing to use the drop table, electrical stimulation, Bio-Freeze, etc.), and working in as gentle a way as possible—all these contribute to a higher standard of excellence in care.
Dr. Michael James is one of those chiropractic physicians who transcends the common standard—or even the next higher level. He has a calm demeanor and a sense of compassionate consideration that I consider rare in even the best physicians from whom I have received chiropractic treatment. He asks all the right questions to get at the source of the problem(s) and goes to work from there. Working with Dr. James, I feel confident in his treatments and am getting close to being pain-free. I recommend Dr. James to anyone who wants their physician to work with them, acknowledging their autonomy and authority over their own body and treatment program. In continuing my own quest for optimum health, I look forward to working with Dr. James as long as I need chiropractic care.
Sincerely,
Michelle S.
